Huber Collision Center History

Huber Collision Center is your local, family-owned auto body repair center for Fredericksburg, Va., and the surrounding counties. While other auto body shops have been taken over by large corporations with headquarters thousands of miles away, we have been locally owned from the beginning and plan to stay that way, believing it is important to be part of the community we serve.

Local ownership enables us to be actively involved in day-to-day operations, decision-making and quality control and to make investments that are best for our customers. One such investment was our decision to become a Mercedes-Benz Certified Collision Center – one more way of ensuring that your vehicle receives first-class care.

Huber Collision Center is a Huber Motor Cars company, which was founded on Biblical principles by local automotive veteran Clay Huber.

Clay Huber got his start in the automotive business more than 25 years ago with Fredericksburg-based Rosner Automotive Group, where he rose through the ranks to become president and CEO of the company founded by his stepfather, Ron Rosner.

In 2015, Clay fulfilled a long-held dream by starting his own auto group, which includes four auto dealerships and the Collision Center. Mercedes-Benz of Fredericksburg is the flagship store, located at 1000 Noble Way in the city of Fredericksburg. Volvo Cars Fredericksburg is located directly opposite it at 1001 Noble Way. Volkswagen of Fredericksburg and Mazda of Fredericksburg are located side-by-side on U.S. 1 near Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania County.

Huber Collision Center started in 2000 as Gran Prix Collision Center, was renamed Rosner Collision Center a few years later, and took its current name in 2015 with the launch of Huber Motor Cars.

Clay has set the course for the Collision Center since its inception and made the investment to achieve Mercedes-Benz Collision Center Certification because of his desire to offer his customers the best level of service available.

Huber Motor Cars is invested in this region and its people and considers it an honor to be able to serve our neighbors, friends and the many newcomers who find their way to this beautiful region of our state and nation.

Clay and his wife, Gail, live here, are raising their family here and, because of the company’s Biblical foundation, believe in giving back to the community. That is why their automotive group sponsors the annual Fredericksburg Christmas Parade and works alone and in partnership with local non-profit organizations to help people receive the basic necessities of food, clothing, safe shelter, health care and the right to life.

The group’s goals are to gain our customers’ trust by always seeking to do what is fair and right, to build our employees by empowering them to succeed, and to strive for excellence in everything we do.

At Huber Collision Center, as at all Huber Motor Cars properties, you can expect excellence in service and absolute integrity in all that we do because we are driven to a Higher Standard.
